Discussion Groups:  Share your love of literature and meet some new friends.  We list groups all over the county, from Bainbridge Island south to Port Orchard. There are groups meeting nearly every night of the week as well as morning and afternoon meetings. Book discussion groups are open to all—whether you are a regular or periodic member. Try one on for size! (Ed note- Many of the stores providing space for clubs also offer discounts to the members.) Clubs are listed in order of their regular monthly meeting day

Book Choice Jan 21st: The Children's Blizzard by David Laskin.
Laskin writes a gripping chronicale of an 1888 violent blizzard that swept across the American plains, killing hundreds of people, many of them children making their way home from school.

Book Choice Feb 18th: The Highest Tide by Tim Lynch.
While the Pacific Northwest sea continues to offer him discoveries from its mysterious depths, such as a giant squid, a teenaged boy struggles to deal with the difficulties that come with the equally mysterious process of growing up.
